Welcome to Glenwood Elementary School!

Welcome to our Glenwood website, which will always be a "work in progress," as we adjust and add to make a site that works for you!  We hope you'll bookmark our site and come back often!  Please let us know what you'd like to see on our site by clicking the envelope below!

Glenwood Elementary School is located in Thousand Oaks in the Conejo Valley. The school has a population of just about 350 students in kindergarten through fifth grade.  Our staff has 15 regular classroom teachers, as well as a tremendous support staff to assist students in a variety of ways. The entire staff is committed to continuous staff development using a collaborative model. The school environment promotes problem solving, assessing our resources and the use of technology as tools for our success. There is a strong sense of community which recognizes the character themes and our strong Glenwood Gator pride.

Our home-school partnership stresses working together to achieve our vision and goals. Glenwood has strong community support through the active involvement of the Parent Teacher Association, the School Site Council, and our English Learner Advisory Committee. Our school community is rich with cultural and linguistic diversity, and our parents are actively supportive of the students, staff and the instructional program.

Caring and highly trained staff ensure that each Glenwood student grows academically in an appropriate and supportive environment. Staff welcomes the community participation in the school as we work together to achieve individual student success.

We hope you’ll have an opportunity to visit and see the many things that make Glenwood an exciting place to learn and grow! Until then, check out our website and see the fantastic things that Glenwood has to offer!
