Welcome to our Accelerated Reader Page!

Our students participate in taking Accelerated Reader Quizzes in the classroom.  These quizzes are based on teacher and student selected texts and are used in a variety of ways (check with your child's teacher to find out specific grade level expectations). 

The Accelerated Reading program is one of the most popular and successful products on the market.  The technology allows teachers the opportunity to pinpoint student reading levels.  Students read books and then take a computerized quiz based on the books to earn point levels.  The higher level a book is, the higher the point value.

In many classes, students set individual point goals, and then strive to achieve those goals over a period of time.  Posted to the right are lists that you can access to get titles specific to your child's needs and reading levels.  New titles are being added and we will update regularly. 

If you have a book where we do not have a test listed, please communicate that desire to your child's teacher, or to our librarian, Mrs. Heninger!
