About Mrs. Reznick

Hello, I am Becky Reznick (formally Clark.)  I recently got married and now have a new name!!!  This is my second year teaching at Glenwood; however, I am proud to say that I am not new to the Conejo Valley Unified School District.  I completed my student teaching a year ago at Acacia Elementary just down the street from us.

I began my journey with students with special needs in 2006 when I was a behavioral aide for children with Autism.  In 2007, I became a program coordinator were I was in charge of creating, modifying, and overseeing programs to help these children learn how to interact in their environments.  I had the pleasure of being a part of their success, as well as, the opportunity to see these children and their families grow. From there, I student-taught in a learning center where I worked with students diagnosed with a variety of disabilities.  I enjoyed this, but I knew my heart was with children with behavioral challenges.

I am continuing my own education through CSUCI in Camarillo. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies - Teaching and Learning with an emphasis in human development/psychology and a minor in developmental psychology and a preliminary education specialist credential.  I am completing my professional clear credential this May and will finish my Master's Degree in Special Education next May. In addition, I recently became a certified Behavior Intervention Case Manager (BICM.)

HOMEWORK POLICY

Homework is due the day after it is given.  Each student is expected to write homework in the provided assignment books and complete homework the night it is assigned; therefore, if it is not turned in the following morning he/she will complete it during Fun Friday.  One point will be deducted from homework turned in late.  Special accommodations can be made for EXCUSED absences and on a case-by-case basis.  Please help your child take pride in their work by completing it in pencil and erasing mistakes rather than writing over them.

A typical week consists of a spelling assignment and a math assignment Monday through Thursday.  Assignments in other content areas are given occasionally.
